...and I don't feel like working. My internal clock has already rung 5:30. Does anyone care to step in and haggle over software licensing and explain to Dipshit IT people who should know better than you don't "buy" software off the shelf like a widget? Thanks.
Blondie and I walked down to the Jazz & Ribs Fest at lunch...and kept on walking. It was like walking into the middle of a furnace with the noon heat and the grills lined up on each side of the street. I think I saw some of the booths cutting down on costs and cooking directly off the sidewalk. It adds flavor. And the Jazz sounded like, well, see my Muzak post from yesterday. Yawn. I used to like things like this...Fests and Fairs and All Things Fun and Festival. I think the turning point for me was the Taste of Chicago. A half a million people or so crammed on hot streets after hot food. In concept, it sounds very cool. In practice, it's quite bothersome. I guess as I get older I'm a little more picky about whom I'm Hot and Sweaty with. Yes, I'm a misanthrope but I am a friendly one.

I really miss running into some people I worked with double fisting beers at lunch.

Ah, I came off as too harsh on festivals. People-watching is always a joy. I'll still be picky about whom I'm Hot & Sweaty with though...
